We are kabana, a strategic studio born out of the passion for strategy of 2 entrepreneurs. We support companies to achieve their business objectives.
kabana comes from the word “cabane”, which means treehouse in French. We chose that name because we like to imagine and build, just as we built treehouses in the woods when we were children.
A treehouse is a metaphorical antidote to the bustle and complexity of our business that allows our minds to explore possibilities. It is a mindset that we bring to every project and that's why kabana is your quiet place of clarity.

meet the team
Florent Bayle-Labouré, M. Sc.
Co-founder and partner
With extensive experience in brand management and marketing, Florent has spent the past 15 years in entertainment, media, and telecommunications.
He spent 8 years at Cirque du Soleil, where he oversaw the management of the brand globally. He also orchestrated the diversification of the Cirque du Soleil brand and the creation of new brands, expanding the creativity of the organization into new spheres of entertainment.
Before founding kabana, he was also vice-president of the Fido brand in Canada (one of the main Telco brands) and head of marketing for Mishmash, a Montréal-based investment fund with interests in various media and entertainment companies (such as L'actualité, Voir, Piknic Électronik, Igloofest, among others).
He has also worked on more than 20 Broadway shows and led multiple marketing research projects to help producers and agencies optimize the creative and financial success of their productions.
Florent holds two bachelor’s degrees – marketing and management (France) and international business (England). He also holds a master’s degree in marketing from HEC Montréal (Canada).
Pierre-Luc Gladu, M. Sc.
Co-founder and partner
Pierre-Luc is an expert in finance and strategy. He is also experienced in building, operationalizing, and optimizing business models.
Throughout his experience, he has acquired experience in a wide range of industries and worked for companies and investment funds like Cirque du Soleil, Lune Rouge (the investment fund of Guy Laliberté, founder of Cirque du Soleil) and Mishmash.
He has developed multiple acquisition strategies and led the strategic and financial planning process of start-ups as well as mature organizations. He also worked on many restructuring and optimization projects.
His experience led him to serve on different boards of directors and committees for non-profit organizations and private companies.
Pierre-Luc holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from ESG Montréal (Canada) which included participation in an inter-university program with Regent University in London (England). He also holds a master’s degree in strategy from HEC Montréal (Canada).
